Alex Mabey Memorial Scholarship deadline set for May 1

Danny Federico editor@riverbendnews.org Applications are now open for the Alex Mabey Memorial Scholarship, a new opportunity to support high school seniors in Suwannee County who participate in soccer, weightlifting, welding or have plans to go into ministry. The scholarship honors the life of Alex Mabey, who passed away on Aug. 20, 2025. The Mabey family remembers Alex as a follower of Jesus Christ who had big plans for his future and worked hard toward his goals. The scholarship was created as a way to give back and support graduating seniors who demonstrate similar character traits.
