After decades of advocacy, Stanley Brothers earn place in Country Music Hall of Fame

For nearly 20 years, Jeanie Stanley Allinder pushed for what she believed was long overdue. When the call finally came, she almost didn’t let herself believe it.
“I said, ‘I hope I know why you’re calling me, but I’m scared to even think that,’” Allider recalled.
On the other end of the line was confirmation: the Stanley Brothers — Carter and Ralph Stanley — were being inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
“Now my work is done,” she said. “It was just unbelievable. It still feels surreal.”
