Advancing youth showmanship skills

Showmanship is a skill 4-H members use to present their animals when exhibiting at the livestock shows. This is a skill that takes time, practice and patience to develop.
This skill is an evaluation of the exhibitor’s ability to present their animal to be best of their ability, answer questions related to their project and exhibit sportsmanship to their fellow exhibitors. This year, I am excited to host the First Annual Showmanship Clinic for cattle and swine youth exhibitors here in Suwannee County.
The clinic will be held on Saturday, Feb. 4, at the Suwannee County Fairgrounds and is open to youth ages eight to 18 who would like to advance their showman
