On Monday, March 21, deputies with the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) responded to the 19100 block of 76th Street in, Live Oak, in reference to a death investigation.
Upon arrival, deputies learned that the homeowner, later identified as Cinda South (62), was found deceased in her residence. The initial cause of death was found to be a result of multiple gunshot wounds.
The SCSO Criminal Investigations Division, as well as the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, responded to the residence and begin an investigation into the shooting death of South.
Investigators quickly developed two persons of interest in the death of South. They were identified as, Kevin Wade (34) and w/f Brenda Wade (38), both family members of South and both residents of Columbia County. A BOLO (be on the lookout) was issued for Kevin and Brenda to Columbia County Sheriff’s Office and Lake City Police Department. Shortly after issuing the BOLO, the Lake City Police Department contacted investigators who were on the scene in Suwannee County and notified them that both Kevin and Brenda had been located. Both Kevin and Brenda were found deceased in Lake City, by the Lake City Police Department.
At this time, all information and evidence in this investigation have led investigators to believe that there are no other suspects in this case. This horrific and tragic incident is believed to be isolated to the involved individuals and there are no known threats or dangers to the community arising from this investigation.
