On Wednesday, Sept. 29, the Lafayette County UF/IFAS Extension received it's first peanut butter donation for the 2021 Peanut Butter Challenge. This year, the donation was given by first-ever Peanut Butter Ambassador Clay Koon. Koon is a Lafayette County 4-Her who helps his family on their farm, where they have approximately 1,000 acres of peanut crops. UF/IFAS Extension offices will be collecting unopened jars of peanut butter from now until Wednesday, Nov. 24, to help families fight hunger. Last year, the challenge collected approximately 13 tons of peanut butter. To participate, drop of a jar of fresh, unopened peanut butter at one of the following drop-off sites.
