Jennings may look like a small town from the outside, but it really is the hidden gem of Hamilton County. On Thursday, Dec. 19, it was the most popular place in Hamilton County to be, specifically Jennings Town Hall, as Santa Claus had finally come to town. Each year, the town hosts a Christmas celebration for the children in Jennings. Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus and a few elves make their way from the North Pole to Jennings to hand out presents to all the children. The line went out the door as each child came inside, was given a present, and then took a photo with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Then, some elves who had made the trip with the Claus gave the kids a small bag of treats before they walked out the door. The town has been putting this event on for years, and each year it is a success. It is one of, if not the most looked forward to event of the year, helping to spread the Christmas cheer, love and peace to all the families in the Jennings area.
