On Monday, Dec. 16, students from the Suwannee Middle and High School Future Farmers of America (FFA) chapters assisted the Live Oak Elks Lodge in putting together holiday food boxes to be distributed to schools in Suwannee, Hamilton and Lafayette Counties. The boxes consisted of food items ranging from holiday sides to nonperishables. The boxes were filled to the top with these food items, ensuring that the families that received these items would have enough food for the Christmas holiday. “There were 191 filled to be distributed to the schools,” Cathy Davis with the Elks Lodge said. “We want to give a huge thank you to the Suwannee Middle and High School FFA for all the help.”
