On Friday, Dec. 13, the Hamilton County Trojans hosted the Madison County Cowboys and Cowgirls for a basketball showdown. First the Cowgirls faced down the Trojans. The first quarter was rough for the Trojans, as the Cowgirls scored 27 points to their six. However, they were able to bring it back in the second quarter, scoring 18 points to the Cowgirls' nine. The competition got even more heated in the third quarter as the Cowgirls scored 27 points and the Trojans' 12. The game came to a close in the fourth quarter after the Cowgirls scored 11 points and the Trojans scored four points. Despite doing their best, the Trojans lost the game 74 – 40. The games weren't over just then, as the gentleman stepped onto the court. Unfortunately, statistics for this matchup were not available at the time of writing. On top of that, the Trojans tragically lost the game 82 – 62. The next girls home game will be on Monday, Jan. 13, at 6 p.m. against the Taylor County Bulldogs. The next boys home game will be on Thursday, Jan. 9, at 6 p.m. against the Corinth Christian Academy Warriors.
