On Saturday, Dec. 7, the Suwannee County High School Bulldogs played host to the Hamilton County Trojans for two different basketball games. The first team to step onto the court was the girls. The first quarter proved that it was bound to be a tough fight for both teams. The Bulldogs took the lead, scoring eight points in the first quarter, compared to the six points scored by the Trojans. The Bulldogs pulled ahead even further in the second quarter, scoring 15 points to the Trojans' seven. After halftime, however, it was clear that both teams came back to secure the victory. The third quarter mirrored the first two, with the Bulldogs leading, scoring 21 points to the Trojans' 12. However, the Trojans found their footing in the fourth and final quarter, scoring 18 points to the Bulldogs' seven. Unfortunately, it was too little, and the Bulldogs won 51-43. Of course, that wasn't the only game of the day, as not too much later the boy's teams entered the gym. The Bulldogs ended up taking the victory once more, 62-49.
