The Lafayette County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the 43rd Annual Pioneer Day is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 14. Held annually at Veterans Memorial Park in Mayo, this event is one of Lafayette County's largest festivals, offering an array of food and arts and craft vendors. The event will begin at 8 a.m. and will end at 5 p.m. Entertainment begins at 10 a.m. with the Pioneer Day Parade filing down Main Street. Afterwards, live music will be presented by the Lafayette High School Marching Hornets at 11 a.m., the Band of Brothers at 12 p.m., Sadie Miller at 1 p.m., CR 400 at 2 p.m., Southern Exposure at 3 p.m. and Jessica Heurtematte at 4 p.m. Veterans Memorial Park is located at 123 SW CR 300, in Mayo.
