On Monday, Nov. 8, volunteers with Branford Area Inter Church Ministries began setting up their biannual tradition for Veterans Day. Project Honor places white crosses along the main roads of Branford. Visible along U.S. 27, Suwannee Avenue and Plant Avenue, these crosses display the names of Veterans, along with which war or branch of the military they served in. To top it off, each cross holds its own American flag, which can be seen billowing in the wind.These crosses are set up every year for Memorial Day and Veterans Day and typically remain on display for two weeks. In addition, crosses can be set up for people in different towns, such as Mayo and Fort W
