Suwannee High School - The Bulldogs - Class 3A - Region R1 - District D2
The Suwannee High Bulldogs, coached by Coach Kyler Hall, ended the 2024-25 season with a 4-7 record. The SHS Bulldogs lost to Godby in Tallahassee by a score of 34-28 in the FHSAA Regional Quarterfinals. This year, Suwannee will be without 11 seniors, giving Suwannee's underclassmen the opportunity to run their game.

In his 11th season, Coach Tim Clark is looking to maintain positive team chemistry throughout the season. Last year's showing in the FHSAA Playoffs was a highlight that should keep this team striving for excellence. BHS seniors #8 Tripp Schultz, #50 Wyatt Derringer and #7 Arkayvion Jones are ready to step up and lead well. The Buccaneers are always excited to face local rivals: Bell (9/5 home), Trenton (10/10 away) and Lafayette (10/24 home), especially when facing them at home with the support of their community. May the cannon sound and the fans yell as the Buccaneers elevate their standard.

In Coach Marcus Edwards's fifth season, as with every season, he is super excited to see how the team will grow. The team's hard work this summer will be the key in replacing last year's offensive power. LHS will look to #3 Dayne McCray, #9 Tywan Williamson, #7 Trevor Byrd, #53 Jack Pearson and #55 Brayden Lambert to fill the leadership roles for this year. As coach Edwards said, "Every game presents its own unique challenges. The Hornets are looking forward to each of them. The Branford vs. Mayo game, as every year, is going to be one that has a lot of anticipation." Riverbend News is excited to see just how powerful the Hornets' sting will be.
