As the holiday season approaches, stories of resilience and compassion take on new meaning, and in rural North Florida, one such story is unfolding at the Doggie Dude Ranch.
For nearly two decades, Danielle Herb has lived with the challenges of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, dysautonomia and Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS), chronic illnesses that affect her daily life. But despite the limitations, Herb chooses to view each breath as a blessing. Rather than let her diagnoses define her, she has committed her energy to helping others, especially those with four legs and no voice.
