The UF CARD Constituency Board is excited to announce the 17th Annual Stomp the Swamp for Autism Acceptance and Awareness event, taking place at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, located at 157 Gale Lemerand Dr., in Gainesville, on Saturday, March 7. This event aims to raise funds and awareness to support individuals with autism and their families. The event begins at 2:30 p.m., with registration opening at 1:30 p.m.
Join us for a day of community, support and fun! Self-advocates, families, community members and UF students, faculty and staff will walk or run together to support the University of Florida Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (UF CARD), North Central Florida’s First Choice for Autism Support.
Highlights of the event include:
- Vendors, UF Organizations and Researchers: Learn about the latest in autism research and support services.
- Event T-Shirts: Available with a $25 donation.
- Silent Auction: Bid on exciting items and experiences.
- Performances: Enjoy entertainment from local performers.
- Activities for children and running and walking fitness activities for all.
Proceeds from the event will help provide child safety materials and information, employment training for young adults, and social learning programs for children and teens with autism and related disabilities.
UF CARD is dedicated to providing support and resources to individuals with autism and related disabilities, their families and the professionals who work with them. UF CARD is committed to enhancing the quality of life for those affected by autism through education, training and community outreach.
