16-year-old killed in Branford crash

Jason Futch Reporter2.riverbendnews@gmail.com A Branford teen was killed on the evening of Saturday, Aug. 16, following a single-vehicle accident on a hay field near 79th Road and 274th Street.  According to a press release from the Florida Highway Patrol, at approximately 5:25 p.m., a 16-year-old female driver was operating a Sport Utility Vehicle with three passengers: two 16-year-old females and a 15-year-old female. The vehicle was traveling east through a hay field following a heavy rainfall. During the drive, the vehicle began to travel to the left, causing it to rotate and overturn, coming to its final rest on the right side.  While the driver was treated with minor inju
