Local weightlifters show out at FHSAA Class 1A Region 2 Competition

The Suwannee High School Bulldogs' boys' weightlifting team hosted the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) regional championships on Saturday, April 6, in their gymnasium. The Branford High School Buccaneers and the Hamilton County High School Trojans joined the Bulldogs among the 30 competing teams.
Despite the fierce competition from the Trojans and Buccaneers, it was the Bulldogs who emerged victorious, proudly claiming the title of Regional Champions in both the Olympic and Traditional divisions with scores of 83 and 59 points, respectively. The Keystone Heights Indians were the runners-up in both divisions, with 40 points
