Letter to the Editor “We the people are not heard in Live Oak”
I am concerned that the City of Live Oak elected officials do not hear the voice of the people. For the second time in two months after numerous citizens have voiced their opposition against items up for a vote by the city council, it appears the council and mayor have not heard them. The first was an action to put fluoride in the city water system and after numerous people letting the council know they did not want it, with one person in favor the council voted 4 to 1 to continue adding fluoride to the water. The second was a resolution to annex 140 acres into the city for a housing development of 350 to 500 homes. The only person that was in favor of it was the developer. This development
