Water Conservation Month to highlight importance of protecting local water resources

SRWMD Contributor Water conservation is at the core of the Suwannee River Water Management District’s (SRWMD) mission to ensure the sustainability of Florida’s water supplies. Due to that, the SRWMD's Governing Board has declared that April be designated as Water Conservation Month. This is the 26th year of the designation, which provides an opportunity to increase public awareness about the importance of water conservation and highlights the SRWMD's year-round water conservation measures. The hope is it will help encourage Florida residents to develop life-long conservation habits that will, in turn, help preserve and protect local and state water resources now and in the future. â
