This is a continuation of the article, "Growing vegetables or flowers in a new piece of land?" published on Feb. 20, 2024. If you have not done so yet, I invite you to read that article to understand the context of this article's topic better. In the last article, we learned how to find out what hardiness zone our area of interest (AOI) is in by accessing the USDA Plant Hardiness Zone Map and the soil type in our area of interest by navigating Web Soil Survey. We discussed how to obtain a "Map Unit Description" for your area of interest from Web Soil Survey and left the description of common Suwannee County soils for today.
