Lafayette County accident claims life

Danny Federico reporter3.riverbendnews@gmail.com A 19-year-old male resident of Mayo, later identified as Dennis “DJ” Carver, was pronounced deceased following a single vehicle accident that occurred at approximately 5:35 a.m. on Monday, April 8. According to the Florida Highway Patrol report, the teen was traveling north on southeast County Road 416, toward US Highway 27, when his sedan veered off the west side of the roadway and struck a tree. The driver was pronounced deceased on scene. The Lafayette High School Class of 2023 will be taking donations to purchase a floral arrangement from the class. Additional funds raised will go directly to the family. Donations can be sent via C
