Due to receiving several calls about a group of juveniles or late teens breaking into vehicles and causing damage to property in numerous areas of the city, the Jasper Police Department has begun a special 9 p.m. routine.
On Saturday, Nov. 14, between the hours of 8 p.m. and 12 a.m., the Jasper Police Department received several calls about a group of youth causing damage to property in numerous areas of the city. According to the police department, they have received surveillance footage from one of the homes and are currently looking into the numerous incidents that have taken place.
The community is urged to participate in the special 9 p.m. routine where all valuables are secured and doors are locked by 9 p.m. every night.
If anyone in the area has seen, heard or know who may be involved and wish to remain anonymous, they are urged to reach out to the Jasper Police Department through their Facebook page or call the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office at (386) 792-1001 and request to speak to the officer on duty.
