Bulldogs lift their way to the top

Danny Federico reporter3.riverbendnews@gmail.com The Suwannee High School boys weightlifting team hosted 13 schools on Friday, March 15, in the Bulldog Invitational. Among the many lifters were 10 from Hamilton County High School, who were proud to represent Trojan nation. Although they didn't end up ranking very high, the Trojans did have one lifter place in the top 10 of his category. Idavious Speights, who competed in the Traditional events in the 199 lb. weight class, completed a clean and jerk of 250 lbs. and a bench press for 275 lbs. Combined, Speights had a total Traditional lift of 525 lbs. and ranked seventh in his weight class. With a total of 24 lifters competing, the Bulldog
