Branford High School (BHS), located in Branford, Fla., hosted a fall festival on Sunday, Oct. 31. The event included games, a costume contest, train rides and even a haunted walking maze. Kids of all ages were able to partake in family fun at the high school courtyard, including: cake walks, a duck pond, hole-in-one, shoot a ghost and so much more. There were also games involving throwing a pie in a student's face and shooting a ping-pong ball into a mason jar to win a goldfish. Snow-cones, boiled peanuts, funnel cakes, candied apples and many more delicious treats were available for purchase, as well.
All money raised from the event were used to purchase water bottle filling stations for the BHS campus. These stations use sensors to detect when a water bottle is beneath the dispenser. Once the bottle is detected, water automatically begins to flow from the faucet. These filling stations will reduce the amount of contact made while allowing the students to stay hydrated in a safe way.
