It may seem impossible to believe, but the tri-county area is still recovering from Hurricane Idalia. From clean up to repairing infrastructure, the work continues. One aspect that has affected all counties is preparing for the future, along with any future hurricanes.
Shortly after Idalia, Lafayette County found itself without a designated emergency management director. Although everyone was able to get through Idalia, the aftermath and future still were unknown.
