Get ready for the 4-H Forest Ecology Contest

This contest will have love for trees, insects, forest ecosystems, topography, forest animals and competition take center stage. The event will be hosted on Saturday, March 30, from 9 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Austin Cary Forest in Gainesville. Participants will be judged on their knowledge in the following stations: tree identification, forest health, forest ecosystems, wildlife identification, map and compass, tree measurement and forest management.
