Tammy Carlton Buda, 57, of Archer, Fla., passed away on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2020 after a long battle with diabetes and congestive heart failure.
Tammy was born on March 27, 1963 in Plant City, Fla., and moved to White Springs in 1965. After graduating from Suwannee High School in 1981, she went on to study Drama at North Florida Community College and graduated in 1983. She worked for Shands Hospital for nearly 20 years as the buyer and manager of the gift shop. She was an active member of Northwest Baptist Church in Gainesville.
Tammy was predeceased by her father, Rev. Curtis Carlton of Live Oak, Fla. She is survived by her beloved husband of 35 years, Joseph Buda; daughter, Brittaney Basak (Daniel); her two granddaughters, Adleigh and Camlin Basak of Orlando; daughter, Krista Buda of Gainesville; mother, Lois Carlton; brother, Andy Carlton; nephew, Curtis Carlton of Live Oak, Fla.; and nieces, Breanna Dicks (Cami and Ellie Logan) of Lake City.
A memorial service will be held at Northwest Baptist Church on Saturday, Dec. 12, at 11 a.m. to celebrate the life of Tammy and her love for Christmas. The church is located at 5514 NW 23rd Ave., Gainesville, Fla. 32606.
