Eight Suwannee wrestlers heading to state competition

Christian Peterson reporter.riverbendnews@gmail.com On Friday, Feb. 23, and Saturday Feb. 24, the Suwannee High School wrestling team competed in the wrestling regional Individual Bracketed Tournament (IBT) at Wewatichka High School. The Bulldogs did not dissapoint. Eli Jolicuer was the standout performer, earning the most points in a single match. He also took first, second and third place for the most points scored in a single match, with scores of 26, 25 and 22, respectively. Topher Pearson tied for the sixth spot by scoring 19 points in one round. Jolicuer also walked off the mat with the most total match points by a score of 82.
