Annette Bush Lawson, 81, passed away at her home on Friday, Oct. 30, 2020, in Mayo.
Annette was born on Oct. 11, 1939, to Marshall Melton Bush and Katie Mae Bell Bush. She was a graduate of Lafayette High School. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Riverside Baptist Church. Annette worked as a deputy clerk with the Lafayette County Clerk of Court's office for 20 years before her retirement. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother who, in her spare time, enjoyed working in her yard, reading and cooking for her family, friends and church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marshall and Katie Bush; two husbands, Ben Walker and Talmadge Lawson; a son, Dwayne Walker; and two brothers, Alton and Herman Bush.
She is survived by three sons: Bobby Lawson, Raymond (Linda) Lawson, and Jeff Walker; two daughters, Teresa (Larry) Lancaster and Kathy (Edward) Dodd, all of Mayo; as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., on Wednesday, Nov. 4, , at Airline Baptist Church with Bro. Ricky Lyons and Bro. Bob Scott officiating. Interment service followed at Riverside Baptist Cemetery. All arrangements were under the care of Burns Funeral Home of Mayo.
