McAlpin man arrested for alleged child abuse

The arrest came after an investigation prompted by reports from Suwannee Riverside Elementary School regarding a student residing with Phinney. According to the report filed by the SCSO, the investigation was initiated on Friday, Feb. 9, when Officer Bradley Griffin, serving as the school resource officer, was informed by school guidance counselors of a student exhibiting signs of alleged physical abuse.
