Suwannee tastes victory and defeat at district tournament

On Monday, Feb. 5, the Suwannee High School girl's basketball team faced off against the North Marion Colts in the first playoff game of the basketball districts, which were held in Jasper. Immediately, the Bulldogs showed their prowess by dominating the first quarter, scoring 15 points compared to the Colts' three. This trend continued into the second quarter, with the Bulldogs scoring 14 points and the Colts only scoring one. Senior Shadavia Jones proved her value to the team by having the highest total score of the night with 13 points. Close behind her were Kiera Jelks and Zjamyah Wilson, who scored nine and eight points respectively
