One arrested in connection with robbery rampage

Christian Peterson reporter.riverbendnews@gmail.com On Wednesday, Jan. 31, at approximately 3:28 a.m., the Jiffy store at the intersection of US Highway 90 and Mitchell Road was robbed by three gunmen. According to a report filed by the Suwannee County Sheriff's Office, three young men, wearing masks and gloves and brandishing handguns entered the store. They proceeded to steal $1,000 in cash, $40 worth of tobacco and nicotine products, $90 worth of scratch off tickets, along with the clerk's cellphone and her purse. The three suspects then fled the scene, destroying the clerk's cellphone in an attempt to prevent her from calling police. During the investigation, it was discovered that
