Alachua County Solid Waste and Resource Recovery

The Alachua County Household Hazardous Waste Department, in partnership with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and the Lafayette County Commission, will sponsor a FREE “Toxic Round-Up” collection event to properly dispose of and recycle common household waste items that cannot be collected curbside. Residents can bring hazardous waste items to the Mayo Community Center located at 176 SW Community Cir. on Saturday, Feb. 10, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Household hazardous waste can be toxic to the public and pose a threat to our environment if improperly discarded.
