The suspect in the shooting that occurred on Christmas Day in Jasper remains at large. Jasper Police Chief Leyon Kerklin provided details on the incident, revealing that it originated as a domestic dispute near the intersection of Southwest 9th Avenue and Bristol Avenue.
However, the situation escalated rapidly, resulting in the tragic death of 22-year-old Joshua Claridy, who was fatally shot in the head. Authorities received the distressing call around 11:48 p.m. Chief Kerklin has confirmed that the suspect and Claridy were friends.
