Buccaneer weightlifters celebrate seniors with dominating win

Danny Federico reporter3.riverbendnews@gmail.com Four Branford seniors were honored for their dedication to the weightlifting team on Wednesday, Jan. 10, prior to their match against Bell High School and Union County High School. Haylee Adair, Isabella Cadle, Ainsley Irby and Taylor Turner were each ushered to the center of the weight room with words of appreciation and their choice of sweet treat in a show of appreciation for their time spent with the program. After taking a moment for a quick photograph to commemorate the event, the girls went off in preparation for the night's challenge. At the end of the night, the Buccaneers claimed the win over both teams with a total of 65 points
