By the time this paper hits the streets, the polls will still be open for a few more hours.
Tomorrow, or the next day, or the next day, we will find out who the President of the United States will be for the next four years.
This is really scary to me … on more than one level.
Number one: I’m conservative – that’s no secret. I don’t want socialism approaches in America. I know, and understand, that “Free For All” really means SOMEONE is paying for it! Socialism, Capitalism and Dictatorship has fallen hand – in – hand, in the past, in other countries and I don’t want the United States of America falling into any of those categories.
Number two: I don’t want to have to endure days, weeks, months, years of protests and riots that I have seen for the past four years.
I must say, that the past few years (2016-2020) has been astonishing. This time FOUR YEARS AGO: colleges were canceling classes in order to “help students cope with the shock of Trump’s win.” Another college professor emailed, “Due to the emotional response by a large number [of] students as a result of last night’s election I have decided to cancel class and to postpone the quiz until Friday…. this was a life-changing event and perhaps one of the most shocking events in our history…. I think many of you will need some time to cope due to the polarizing nature of the campaign.” Cornell University even held a “cry-in” with students and drank hot chocolate while school staff handed out tissues. The University of Kansas brought in therapy dogs for the students. At the University of Michigan, the students were found playing with Play-Doh and coloring in coloring books. Tufts University had arts and crafts on hand. Many of the students that took time off to “cope” (instead of playing with Play-Doh or therapy dogs) hit the streets to protest, along with their peers that don’t go to college or do not have jobs and have all the time in the world to do nothing else but go be a problem to the working class. Little did they all realize but their behavior did nothing but show us “old people” that we have an entire generation of a bunch of entitled brats that want the world to think their way, and only their way, and if they don’t get their way, they will have a temper tantrum.
It is scary to see what next week, month will bring.
If one man wins – will the world keep turning or will the world (well, America) start being burned down (again) by brats, punks, thugs, (pick a word). It happened four years ago … will it happen again?
If the “other” man wins – what will happen? Anything? Or do we/should we expect the country to burn down then, also? (Somehow, I doubt it!)
I am apprehensive to see what the next few days, weeks, months and years will bring.
You… YES, YOU! Please keep in mind that how YOU act in the coming days/weeks/months/years will show the world (and your friends and neighbors) exactly what kind of person you REALLY are!
Will you wake up Wednesday or Thursday and still act civilized, humane, Christian and adult-like? Or will you act like a spoiled child because “your man” didn’t win?
And, as a parent … please know that your children are watching how YOU act and behave!
Parents: teach your children that you don’t win in life every time. There is death, there is divorce, there is devastation, and there is the loss of who you want to be president. You don’t get to “win” every time you play something.
Step up and act like an American; act like a human being; treat others (and their property) with respect; respect God; respect your country; and for goodness sake raise your children like this!!!!
Every time I told my children “no” to something that upset them or disappointed them, and they protested … my answer back was always, “Life sucks sometimes! Get used to it.” Too bad all these demonstrators were not taught the same thing!
