The Branford Town Council opened up the new year with a discussion on the farmers market during its regular meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 9.
Richard Snider, a representative of the farmers market, told the council there were nine vendors on Friday, Jan. 5. He also added how the vendors were looking forward to being able to set up in the grassy area behind the Town Hall's parking lot once the Christmas decorations are picked up.
Discussion then turned to how, in November, the market's operation night was changed from Tuesdays to Fridays, as it was argued more people would be able to drop by at the start of the weekend as opposed to a weeknight.
