The City of Jasper jumped into the holiday season with its annual Sweets in the Streets celebration on Saturday, Dec. 9. The event featured various booths and games throughout the day, followed by a parade, lights and games at night. The community of Jasper came out to the streets to witness the festive holiday spirit, lights and familiar faces that make the holiday season unique.
The activities began at 2 p.m. at Jasper City Park, where booths from all over gathered to participate in Sweets in the Streets. Children enjoyed playing games and making crafts while everyone savored delicious food from food trucks and other booths, all designed to get everyone in the holiday spirit.
Later on, at 6 p.m., local businesses, churches and other clubs throughout Hamilton County came together to showcase their holiday spirit and lights in the annual Christmas Parade, creating a magical experience for children and families alike.
