The good, the bad and the ugly: “Napoleon”

Introduction: “Napoleon” was released to American audiences on Wednesday, Nov. 22. It was directed by Ridley Scott and written by David Scarpa. The film follows Napoleon Bonaparte (Joaquin Phoenix), his rise to power, his relationship with Empress Josephine (Vanessa Kirby) and his subsequent fall from power. The story is one of conquest, honor, destiny and the cost of pride and power. The film is a epic historical drama, meaning all the information included is part of history and public knowledge.
