Hamilton schools hold annual spelling bees

Michelana Byrd Contributor The Hamilton County School District's (HCSD) schools held their annual spelling bees on Tuesday, Dec. 5. The district is so proud of all who participated. It is such a brave thing to perform on your own in front of an audience. For this reason alone, we applaud your efforts! The winners will proceed to the HCSD Spelling Bee on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2024. Hamilton County Elementary School winners were Mya Paytee, first place; Nancy Martinez- Gonzalez, second place; and Kendra Harris, third place. Hamilton County High School winners were Edith Gonzalez, first place; Miguel Rosales, second place; and Sadia Strawder, third place.
