Kids News hosts inaugural Gingerbread House Contest

Kids News is the newest organization trying to make a difference in the lives of the area's youth. Tammy Housego introduced Kids News, based in Live Oak, to the area with a publication of the paper and by hosting the first ever Kids News' Gingerbread Contest. It was split into different age categories from 5 years old all the way to adults. Contestants were provided materials and began to put together their own original house ideas. Some made small houses with Charlie Brown or Candy Land characters. Others teamed up to build a sprawling village. Either way, Christmas cheer was in the air and it was clear the event was a success.
