A Branford woman was pronounced deceased after she was struck by a pickup truck last Tuesday afternoon on US-27, just east of Craven Street in Branford.
At approximately 5:30 p.m., on Tuesday, Oct. 20, the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) responded to a truck vs. pedestrian collision. According to the report, a red pickup truck, driven by a 50-year-old man of High Springs, was traveling southbound on US-27. The pedestrian, a 67-year-old female from Banford, traveled from the center of the roadway directly in front of the pickup truck. After impact, the truck came to a controlled stop in the south ditch of US-27 just east of the area where the collision occurred, facing east. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased.
