Suwannee County mourns loss of public servant leader, Jessie Philpot, Sr.

Robert Ford Contributor The community has suffered a significant loss with the passing of Jessie Philpot, Sr., a dutiful public servant, at the age of 81. Philpot was a faithful servant leader, devoted to serving others before himself Philpot was a pillar of the community, a business owner and a former school board member who served on the city's Planning and Zoning board, as well as other civic and social organizations. He had a genuine personality and a solid connection to people, and his energy, love and passion for creating a better community were palpable.
