Raymond Dee Santerfeit, 75, passed away on Friday, Oct. 9, 2020 in Live Oak, Fla. Raymond was on born May 2, 1945 in Tampa to Raymond Dee Santerfeit and Frances McCall Santerfeit.
Santerfeit was of the Episcopal faith and a member of Holy Trinity in Pahokee. Raymond was a lifelong lexophile serving as publisher/editor for various newspapers throughout Florida for over 30 years. He also served numerous roles in support of local governments. Most importantly, he was an avid golfer and member of the Suwannee Country Club whose last wish was to play just one more round.
Raymond was preceded in death by Raymond Dee Santerfeit, Sr. and Frances McCall Santerfeit.
Santerfeit is survived by his wife of 36 years, Julia Anita Johnson-Santerfeit; children: Randall Dee Santerfeit, Candace Lila Santerfeit, Robert Dean Santerfeit, Freddie Wayne Clements, Terry Allen Sotolongo, Toby Brian Clements, Jermaine Austin and Michael Steel; brothers: Keith Freeman, Harvey Freeman and John Freeman; sister: Emily Freeman; and 14 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He is also survived by an uncle, T.J. Santerfeit.
Graveside services for the family will be held later. Interment will be at Wayfare Cemetery. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Mayo.
