Jasper City Council holds first meeting with new city manager

The meeting began with the approval of the consent agenda before moving to City Attorney Rhett Bullard's items. His only item was an interlocal agreement that had been given to the town from the county regarding a surtax for fire protection. Bullard explained that, according to the agreement, 21.9 percent of the funds collected from around the county would return to Jasper for fire protection.
