Buccaneer girls face setback in soccer season opener

The Branford High School girls' soccer team played its first game of the season at home against the Trenton Tigers on Monday, Nov. 13. Last year, the Buccaneers went 3-11-1 in their inaugural season, and they returned the majority of their roster this year, hoping to improve their record and experience.
Unfortunately, in their first game, the Bucs' defense struggled, allowing three goals in the first half and three more in the second half. As a result, the Tigers won the game 6-0, and opening the Buccaneers' season with a 0-1 record.
