In mid-October, Hamilton County High School opened its newest student-centered business, the Trojan Joe Cafe. Joanne Marcil's students are now selling coffee and snacks to help raise funds for their classroom materials. So far, the school reports the business has been a “huge success” amongst the students, school staff and even the district staff. On Friday mornings, students make the coffee and treat deliveries themselves. In addition to funding the classroom's materials, students are able to learn about job training and skills they can transfer to their future careers.
