Bulldogs golf team awarded an at-large bid to the State Championships

Lee Trawick reporter2.riverbendnews@gmail.com Suwannee High School's boy's golf team traveled to Pensacola, Fla., on Tuesday, Oct. 31, to compete at the Class 2A Region 1 Championships at Perdio Bay Country Club. They aimed to advance to the FHSAA State Championships after winning the District Championships. Coach Damon Wooley and the Bulldogs knew the competition would be challenging, but they weren't expecting the weather to play a significant role. The winds were at 15 to 25 miles per hour with gusts up to 30 miles per hour, and the temperature dropped 20 degrees throughout the morning. The Bulldogs had to battle the elements as much as the course and competition. However, they didn't
