Honoring our heroes: The meaning behind Veterans Day

This day holds profound significance and provides an opportunity for the nation to come together in gratitude for the sacrifices made by Veterans. The origins of Veterans Day can be traced back to the end of World War I. On Nov. 11, 1918, an armistice was signed, officially ending the hostilities in what was then known as "The Great War." The following year, the first Armistice Day was celebrated, marking the first annivers
