Human remains recovered in a house fire in Mayo

Lee Trawick reporter2.riverbendnews@gmail.com On Wednesday, Oct. 25, around 8:45 p.m., a citizen noticed a mobile home, located at 1232 NE Rowan Rd, in Lafayette County in a blaze and notified Lafayette County Sheriff's Office Dispatch. Lafayette County deputies, along with the Lafayette County Volunteer Fire Department, responded to the scene, where they assessed the Lafayette County Sheriff's Office attempted to make contact with the homeowner, but contact could not be made at the scene.
