Hornets buzz into golf Regionals

Lee Trawick reporter2.riverbendnews@gmail.com On Monday, Oct. 23, the Lafayette High School golf team hosted the Class 1A District 3 Championships at Quail Heights Country Club in Lake City. Considered as the number three seed, the Hornets knew they faced a tough challenge. Luckily, they were very familiar with the Keystone Heights Indians and the Madison County Cowboys, two opponents they kept a close eye on during the tournament. The Hornets, led by senior Trey Galbraith, believed they were capable of defeating anyone. Galbraith had his work cut out for him, leading a young roster.
